About the Devil Fruits' names, there's some things you forgot but also you were probably never told this complex explanation for how the names work. This context is somewhat important. So before anything, Oda arbitrarily designed the concept of Devil Fruits including the trend that their names in Japanese are always 2 relevant syllables repeated. He often uses onomatopoeia because it fits the rule easier (Enel ate the Goro-Goro Fruit, not the Kaminari-Kaminari Fruit). "Gomu-Gomu" "Bara-Bara" etc. This simple rule is only broken like 2-3 times in the entire series (example: Funkfreed ate the Zou-Zou Fruit.) It doesn't apply in English, however. Then he went and introduced Zoans around Drum Island, which means many animal names are hard to fit that rule. For Zoans, the "species" of Fruits are actually individual and there's still one of each, but they are classified into "families" with related "models" purely for the purpose of convenience. So Dalton ate the Ox-Ox Fruit, Model Bison. Kaku are the Ox-Ox Fruit, Model Giraffe. "Ushi-Ushi" Likewise, Lassoo, Chaka, and Jabra are all Dog-Dog Fruit models (Dachshund, Jackal, and Wolf, respectively). Separate Fruits, but same name for taxonomic reasons. "Inu" would fit the syllabic rule, but "Wolf" or "Okami" would not.

Man, that is complex but understood! I almost guarantee I'll forget in 50 episodes time and have this exact confusion again.
