Thank y'all SOOOO much for the kind words of encouragement (and, of course, thoughts and prayers) for my mom. She was so happy to read them all! Her surgery went so well that it only took 3 hours instead of the allotted 6. They even took her appendix out because they had extra time and it "looked weird." Because it went so well, she won't have to use a *redacted*, which she was very worried about. My mom is strong, but maybe not as strong as Miss Tamisha Iman. Also, a fun little note, my mom has been high for the last 48 hours. She FaceTimed me and asked if I was sitting in front of a brick wall because I "finally just hit a wall" and then told me she was eating chicken as she had jello in her mouth...no chicken was present. My brother captured this moment of Debbie trying to use binoculars to see better. So...here she is. P.S. Don't ever tell my mom that I showed y'all this. She'll hit me with her binoculars. -Darby
