Let me just say, I’m in coastal Florida here, originally from NYC area, and Diet Coke (and Pepsi for that matter) ARE much flatter here… I think it’s geographical. The warmer weather and sunshine kills the carbonation in fizzy beverages. It’s science. We can’t have nice weather, beaches AND fully carbonated, zesty soda pop 🥤- it’s the law of averages. Our sodas not good in our region- it’s just average. And being that it’s a law and strictly enforced with heavy fines and potential jail time even, and because of the economy, restaurants have to serve subpar soda.

This DR episode was Emmy material. I watched it alone and even so it made me laugh AND cry AND jump up when they saved Angel. Plus the Untucked was SO good. Their conversation re:trans where John Fedellaga talked about deciding to not continue that journey because of the traumatic rape experience… also made me cry. Part of what draws me to drag so much is seeing the power in expressing that femininity when it’s so demeaned, and just dangerous to be female in this Patriarchy. It was all so good. I think the girls come in with these ideas of who they’ll be on camera/producing themselves, but somehow this season so far is just taking it way beyond that. I’m so hooked on this season!
