December Update! (Say It And I'll Play It plan changes) (Patreon)
Content
Thanks for your support, for the people who just joined, and for the long-time patrons. I wanted to send you an email to update you on the progress on projects, and other stuff related to the channel.
I informed you a little while ago that I would be contracting with an editor, who would be helping me manage some of the workload for the videos. Sadly, this editor did surrender his position just the other day. He did however find a replacement, who I have contacted, and who I am working with now. There will probably be some delay in the project they were both working on, the Walking Dead video, which is one of the reasons you haven't seen it on the channel so far. I have no ETA for this video, however we are working on it, so please stay patient!
On a similar note, I know that there are a few guys there who have subscribed on the $7 level, who have had games they want me to review, and that the process has been very slow. I do apologize for this, one of the reasons that I wanted to contract with the editor was so that I could focus on the videos I had promised you, and my editor could help me keep up on the videos I felt I "had" to do, like the video for Payday 2's sunsetting, for example. However, since this process has taken longer than I expected, I want to pause the addition of more "SIAIPI" videos being added to the list, I don't think it's appropriate to have people coming into the Patreon expecting something that I've obviously been unable to provide on any kind of timely basis. I may restart the tier when I finish the ones I have so far, but for now, "SIAIPI" will be on hold until I can finish the ones I've promised to do. That is pretty much everybody who had subscribed to that tier so far, so don't worry, your videos are on the list.
Finally, some of you might have heard the news that Patreon has been asymmetrically banning people for ideological reasons recently. This may be an indication of further purges from the platform, and while I do not talk politics on my main channel or in any of my scripted videos, you all probably know that I am politically vocal in other places. I do not plan on leaving Patreon any time soon, I've been here for a while, I like their layout, and they still have time to reverse their recent decisions. I do know that there may be some of you that may want to leave the platform to protest these decisions. Because of the, admittedly non-imminent, deplatforming concerns, and to diversify my support structure in general, I will be looking at Patreon alternatives to establish a base. Subscribestar has been suggested by multiple people who have jumped ship from Patreon, and while I want to make it clear: I am not leaving Patreon at this time, I do want to make people aware that I will be trying to diversify into other options. I will keep you guys up to date on whatever I end up going with.
Otherwise, I can't thank everyone enough for supporting me and my channel, and I hope to see you on Discord and beyond!
