I feel like I'm one of the few that doesn't ship Bubbles and Faye. I love the idea of them sharing a strong, deep friendship and I really hope it doesn't become more because I just don't see Faye changing so fundamentally as a person as to become involved in a relationship like this. I adore them both but yeah, I don't see any romantic chemistry.

She and Pintsized were built around the same time. I have this vision of her without armor with a Pintsize like body and her normal size head. Like her armor is just a big mech. :D

I'm not at all opposed to any potential Faybles prospects, but to me this is going somewhere else. In a way her armor resembles all those mental barriers she's put up because she feels vulnerable without them and doesn't want to show any weaknesses. This is a sign that she trusts Faye and doesn't feel like that around her, probably for the first time in a while. That's tremendous progress, and I think Faye is sensitive enough to recognize that and be the person Bubbles needs her to be.

This is huge. Bubbles has a whole new life before her, and she's making herself vulnerable both emotionally and physically to her new friends, especially Faye. The look on her Face in the last panel is a perfect reflection of that. Whatever happens between Faye and Bubbles (for all my shipping of Faybles I'm honestly good either way), I'm glad they have each other.

!!! It melts my heart that Bubbles is willing to open up (physically and emotionally) to Faye like that. I don't mean that in a creepy way, either. The way they bared their souls to each other, and now to ask Faye to remove that last barrier between herself and the world... well, it takes a great deal of trust between you to do that. Bubbles, I am so glad that you fought through that pain, that you found Faye, and that you are healing.
