This college dropout story hit WAY too close to home for me, just started getting flashbacks to when my parents found out I was dropping out

I still have nightmares about doing that exact thing, and I haven't been to college in over a decade

Damn you, Jacques!

This comic has me wondering if Hanners went to college. We know she was raised, and presumably got her primary/secondary schooling, on the space station, but not exactly when she left. With all the scientists around, I'm sure she could have gotten a college-level education (and then some) on Station, but not necessarily a degree. It's hard to imagine an 18yo Hannalore surviving communal living in dorms.

Ayo concentrated so hard on whether she could, she didn't stop to think whether she should.

Ah, I remember dropping out of school.....not to fight crime tho, they sent me to the loony bin instead =p

The FIRST time I tried to go to college, I spent most of it sitting with friends on the floor, near the lockers, in the basement of Stevenson Hall, drinking Ripple. They were shooting students at Kent State spring of 1970, so I felt safer dropping out and getting a job. The second time I tried college, I had a much clearer idea of why I was there.

this is exactly why I waited to go until my late 20s. I wasn't ready as a teenager, and I knew it.
