There's a lot of lore to track, but I thought that Claire filled the spot created when Dale quit Coffee of Doom (#4628). Is there some other overlap?

I wonder if @Jeph Jacques himself might have encountered nearly this level of enthusiasm from a fan or two. I've never had the chance to meet our host, but I once annoyed Zach "SMBC" Weinersmith at a con. (Not on purpose, I was just trying to make a joke.) I know quite a few more prose writers. True but not important story: Neil Gaiman was the first person to follow me on Mastodon. (I also annoyed Brandon Sanderson at a con once, but I had the chance to apologize later and he was very cool.)

In the newsletter that Hannelore wrote it shows that Dale quitted at the same time Claire started working at CoD. I dont think I’ve seen them interacting with one another ever.

Eh, was only a matter of time before he clicked anyway. The family has a close resemblance, especially Claire with her hair. Makes me wonder if, being trans, Claire purposely models herself after her mother as her ‘original model’ of what a woman looks like. Do trans people often model themselves off of a family member of the same gender they are? Genuinely curious, apologies if offensive to ask.
