Is the QC world on the brink of the singularity?

PixelThis

The QC world is arguably post-singularity from Yay's point of view

Thisguy

I'm pretty sure this was discussed in an earlier comic. QC world is post singularity. The majority of humans have just not noticed it yet because the A.Is are taking it slow and subtle.

Happy New Year to all, or as the Klingons would say: be'nI'por (Glorious New Year!)

Post-singularity but not quite on to solving resource scarcity yet

Mark

Quite some time ago- https://www.questionablecontent.net/view.php?comic=1777

The singularity is already here, its just not evenly distributed.

Miyaa

Now the question I have is does this start the ball rolling for Clinton and Elliot to move here? (Did not see a bakery in the Cubetown tour.)

...you will tell us. Over time, you will! xD Happy New Year!

Mad Marie

How to make Morays? “Mitosis from my toeses!” quoth The Director.

Mad Marie

Organizing flow with seventy-six trombones? Yes, that’s a Moray.

Bagge

Sounds like a great mind for scientific breakthroughs. Perhaps not as great for facility management

ValdVin

Cubetown is a place where someone will spend years trying to extract sunlight back out from cucumbers. Jeph has invented his own Swiftian society.

Merle Blue

Oh no, Claire is starting to realize that there's some legitimately cool stuff going on here. Now she's going to get too interested to be angry about it!

Merle Blue

I mean..."trying a lot of random things, even things that seem useless on their face" is a great way to find new avenues worth researching.

Todd Ellner

Only when you have more than a thousand reeds springing up like weeds

Matthias Urlichs

How is that difficult? We've been doing that for millions of years. It's called "eating".

Mad Marie

^There’s a timeline a Patreon patron created that gets referenced here in the comics every time it’s updated; reading it over the last time it was updated is the only reason I remembered that myself.

Mad Marie

Thanks for reminding me to check the progress of that battery I’ve been pickle charging…looks like it gained a percentage point since last year.

Ursus Ridens

OK, so what we have here is post-Singularity, Swiftian society. Copacetic. What could possibly go wrong?

ValdVin

My cat ate my potato clock. I really shouldn't have prepared it au gratin.

if you remember the comic exists but not the number, you can also google it easily enough, comic text is now pretty searchable in my experience (this also goes for SMBC, for example) https://www.google.com/search?q=site%3Aquestionablecontent.net+singularity&tbm=isch
