The 'bonk' may be for Hanners falling, or it may be from a certain Shiba Inu meme...

Maugrim

This is weirdly making me want to try yoga.....

Anonymous

Both of them are fantastic because they went :-) any good yoga teacher is just happy you are moving your body. Your body is worth the care you're trying to give it.

JD

And she was so worried about Hanners making her look bad...

Jackie Horn

HELL YEAH THEY DID IT

Anonymous

This is impressing me a lot and I can't put it into words

Chair pose IS the worst 🤣

Miyaa

Afterwards, they went out for tacos… and Willow got their orders wrong again!

Dracon Atrox

Marigold is strong in the legs, but her arms aren't used to holding any weight except their own. Hanners is light, and was doing physical labor during at least part of he "trip of self discovery, so her strength is more balanced. However, her sense of balance needs work. Luckily, there's an easy solution for both of them: practice!

Anonymous

You generally learn balance as kid, growing up on a spacestation might mess with that.

Anonymous

Impressive that Jephe drew all of that so convincingly. Enough for you to pick up on patterns in their uh... 'styles'.

Scotty

I thought Hanners had done yoga before?

Anonymous

...So as a dude who swears by squats, that chair pose is bloody nasty.

Cute_Fuzzy

Ring: "Bend sloooooowly to the front...... now slowly return to the starting position.... focus on your form!"

Thisguy

Yes. I wonder how Hannahs first dealt with increased earth gravity. Yeah, the station had artificial gravity, but I don’t think it would have been as great as earth’s.

Thisguy

Well, at least it’s nice to have a friend who’s both better and worse than them. To show them that they are good at some things, and to help them get better at others.

Yelling Bird

WAIT TILL THE RULE 34 PEOPLE GET A LOAD OF THIS ONE!

Honestly I love that Hanners isn't perfect at this, it's kind of nice to see they both have stuff they can work on

Anonymous

My favorite part of any yoga class is when the teacher falls over. It makes me feel so much better that they have to work at it too. (But not so much better that I'm willing to keep doing yoga )

Anonymous

You know, I'm 36, been out of shape pretty much my whole life, and this arc is making me think Yoga is the kind of working out I can get behind. Because obviously I hate working out. But getting older is challenging (especially if you have a small baby)

Jeph: Will you be putting out a yoga instruction manual or poster any time soon?

I can't do chair pose any more. The cartilage on the outside of my left knee has been, and I use the surgeon's word, "extruded" from its position and thus I have no cushion between my femur and meniscus. It's so much fun. Ahh to be young again and able to do a whole yoga class without pain.

awgiedawgie

The meniscus _is_ the cushion (it's the cartilage). It would seem, then, that you - like me - no longer have the meniscus in your knee. I also have the added advantage of no longer having an ACL in my knee. It bends all sorts of directions - usually at the most inopportune moments. My doctor looked at my MRI and said "you can't walk." (Mind you, I had just _walked_ into his office.) I simply told him "I'm too stubborn not to."

Do it! We believe in you. A big reason I keep doing yoga is so that I can maintain my independence as I age. It's never going to get easier to start.

Anonymous

“Had done” is different from “had done well” 😁

Bagge

I hope there is mime-yoga. That would be awesome.

David Durant

Panel 3 is a very difficult pose to do in a first beginners session!

Matt

Great figure drawing set!

Ruth Merriam

Dear gods, I love Hannelore. She's come so far and is precious.

Julie Scott

Marigold is me doing yoga. 10/10 can relate.

Hugh Eckert

This is *exactly* what I was hoping for with these two dorks. Thanks, Jeph! This was a bright spot in a generally crappy day.

Anonymous

Kinda surprised on this one. Hadn't Hanners done Yoga during her self-discovery binge? She should be able to keep up with the beginners class, at least?

Robert Tucker

As someone who has started yoga several times I can assert that if you dont do it regularly it is still hard to start back out doing it
