Elberik

I have no idea what's going to happen. But I already love it.

Samantha Yeaman

An AI that partakes in morning coffee routines? I love her already.

Anonymous

That's a cool palette, I like it.

Anonymous

Boolean

Celine Chamberlin

I need that mug even though I never drink out of one.

Spoogle McGee

I feel like we're gonna need an updated character id/relationship chart pretty soon.

Anonymous

The look of frustration in panel 2b might be the most relatable thing ever...

Anonymous

Before seeing this I would have figured that AI's would have a hand held battery pack in the shape of a coffee cup

Andrea Andrew

Maybe she’s like Roko and May, and is able to “process” things like coffee.

Matt Grayson

I love Iris. I have always loved Iris. Since I first glimpsed her at CoD..

Anonymous

Ha! These two: perfect match.

Anonymous

Are there any public indecency laws for bodied AIs, I wonder?

Anonymous

Ohhhhh no¹. ------------- ¹: Hel yes.

Todd Ellner

He's going to miss that indestructible military chassis

Dean Reilly

Panel 3, just steeling herself to talk to someone before finishing her morning coffee.

Anonymous

That's a mood I can understand. Same after my morning coffee too. Especially an unexpected and unwelcome visitor.

Mister Cletus

Iris as in Winslow and Iris??

Miyaa

(Oh no)² — ² As in squaring the quantity “oh no.”

Michael Boettger

And Pintsize's answer is both accurate and succinct. Wonder what his new look will be.

Anonymous

I like Iris.

Anonymous

A fresh French press smells SO good. I can see why AIs would love it

Julia Allen-Hesse

Is she Willow’s friend who always “ugh”s the cute scenes?

Miyaa

This will be Yemisi’s greatest challenge yet: Pintsize.

Yonatan Zunger

Given that Iris probably can't actually drink the coffee, and is presumably brewing it just for its aroma and for the sake of being able to swear at anything that tries to get her attention before she has it, I appreciate Iris even more.

Dylan T

Pintsize i feel like this body will be significantly more costly to fix if you make someone angry.

BobC

Where's Willow?

Anonymous

THEY CONTINUE TO BECOME MAIN CAST POG

Sammitch

What does Yemisi do again?

Anonymous

as i have thought upon this more, I can now smell a fashion montage staring pint size and his amazingly terrible taste. I'm not sure which prospect I am more excited for.

Anonymous

Iris is back to fill the grumpy AI void that May left!

Molly McAllister

Panel 3, that 'makers give me strength' moment.

Yelling Bird

HEY! "DOOR-TO-DOOR PERVERT" IS WHAT IT SAYS ON MY BUSINESS CARDS!

Anonymous

Damn, that's a good coffee mug. And a good start to a little arc here!

Anonymous

I'm beginning to have trouble remembering who all these people are,

Anonymous

I love how narrative gravity pulls any background characters the draw interest into the main cast.

Hugh Eckert

Iris, being an AI, *chooses* to be "not a morning person". I can respect that.

Mark Thomas

He hasn't said that it's gone yet. It could potentially be sitting in a closet waiting to be used for later hijinks,, or a full return, or to be inhabited by a different A.I. for any one of multiple different plot ideas...

William Cole

Iris is my spirit animal!

Anonymous

Iris works with Willow at the burrito place and apparently is roommates with Yemisi, Yay's personal shopper. The three of them have been seen together a few time, usually waiting for Elliot to pay attention to his job.

Summer Sudbrink

He could start a perv-sharing company called Luber.

OldGoat

Grouchy-ass Iris and Pintsize robo-scrogging - YES!!!

Bagge

I love that her cranky-morning-routine involves coffee even if she is a robot

Fart Captor

I love Iris. 100% Wife City

Chris Crowther

I love that Pintsize's answer is 100% accurate. Also love that he is, in fact, still pint size. Relatively speaking.

Mad Marie

Is Iris’s personality that of “one who is perpetually on the verge of having her morning coffee but keeps getting interrupted”?

Anonymous

I don't know why Pintsize showed up at Iris' door, but I'd like to imagine they have a sibling-like relationship.

Mark

Iris as in Iris, Willow and Yemisi, aka Them.

Anonymous

It’s possible that Iris brews coffee for the smell and chose the mug for her attitude but actually gives the coffee to Yemisi to drink.

Anonymous

I'm not entirely sure Iris is an anyone-else person, let alone mornings 😬

Absentia

oh, this'll be good.

Bagge

Given how long Pintsize has been around, there should be

Socratease

Who is she? I can't recall her.

Anonymous

inclusive or 🥰

Anonymous

Iris, friend of Willow and Yemesi. This strip is starting to need its own wiki to keep track of the who/what/when but I think the last time we were showed that character pod was a mini-arc starting at "It's Them" (https://www.questionablecontent.net/view.php?comic=4446)

Leak

Thanks ants. Thants.

Valraven

How do I get a job as a door to door pervert?

Anonymous

Iris in panel 3 is me any time I have to answer the door.

Chris Warren

I love Iris, but I worry about the length of her charging cable.

Andrew L Butula

My thoughts as well. I legitimately enjoy the taste of coffee, but the smell still promises more than the taste delivers. That said, it's kind of surprising that no one builds AI bodies capable of at least experiencing and appreciating food, if not deriving energy from it. Given how central food is to human social interaction the fact that humans and AIs can't really share meals is a fairly big hurdle that could be easily surmounted.

Anonymous

looks like she unplugged before she went to answer the door. Hopefully she had enough charge otherwise she'll be falling face first onto (a most likely thrilled) pintsize

Anonymous

So, um, what's the battery capacity of a human-sized bot? Cause my brain can't be turned off and a 110v outlet can only push so much juice and I can't stop thinking about the logistics...

Anonymous

I mean... Humans only consume like 2500 watt hours worth of calories a day.... And we aren't that efficient about turning it into kinetic energy, about 25% from what I saw online, the rest basically goes to heat. So to move a person around for a day... 625 watt-hours? And even currently existing electric motors can be like 90-99% efficient. So say 700 Wh to move a robot around for a day, optimistically using current gen technology. And a standard outlet can supply 1800 watts. So, excluding processing power which I have no good way of estimating, she could get a full days charge in under half an hour (24 mins). Not too dissimilar to a coffee break really.
