Right, so I had to re-read a bunch of earlier strips because it's not clear that Aurelia is completely unaware that Clinton and Eliot are into each other. Hope that helps out anyone else who was a bit lost as to this and the previous strip.

One of the things I love about this strip is that I can read it with the headcanon that Aurelia's "he's such a nice boy" comment and smile is a clear indication that she's aware of the feelings between Clinton and Eliot (especially given that she said exactly the same thing about Marten when Claire brought him home), and that the only thing that she was unaware of was just that the conversation about baking had subtext. And I really love that characterization.

I am definitely in the "NOW KISS" boat. But I'm also just really interested to see which direction things go from here even if no smooching happens (yet). I've been very curious if Clinton will need to take things slowly since he's never been interested in a guy before and this is new to him. (We don't even know if he's had much experience with girls either, lol.) It's been somehow refreshing to see this unfold and I can't even put my finger on why..? Edit: gonna lmao if after musing all that, things escalated as fast as Faye and Bubbles.

I don't think Clinton actually lives with his Mom anymore, which would make that extremely unlikely in my mind. Actually, the fact that it's his parents house makes that extremely unlikely in my mind period -- people tend not to flaunt their sexuality at home. Leftover teenage hangups.
