RENEE AND BRUN ALL DAY more pls

Miyaa

Is there such a thing as being overly floofy?

Anonymous

there can never be enough floof!

Andrea Andrew

Is... this another ship I should consider?

Agnes

and now for the cliffhanger: WHAT DID BRUN MAKE FOR DINNER

LH

you're right Brun, those sitcoms aren't funny.

Rat

my favorite week :D

Anonymous

Do you have funny/lighthearted plots waiting to go for when we need them? ....because I appreciate that you seem to.

William Hanna

Yyyyyyyeeeeeeeeessssssssssss. Can we have Marigold Week next?

DVW

Should 'bit' in the last panel be 'big'?

Devin Gates

I thought Brun got a makeover, then I realized, her eyes are open all the way.

Miyaa

Tomorrow: they’re having cereal. And then Steve asks if he can join them. And then Renée gets a crush on Steve.

Anonymous

Brun is like: "0/10 not enough dog puns"

Chris Heg

Rickeeeee.. waahhh.

Anonymous

Floof factor at 11/10

Floofy Organism Designed Only for Goofing

This is a 'ship!! An excellent friendship!

BioYuGi

Aw how nice.

BobC

Clearly, the humidity is dropping in the QC-verse.

Anonymous

Yay! Emotional growth!

Adam Friedlander

Note that she didn't say whether or not the kitchen had been destroyed.

z

...so, do you think day after Thanksgiving or Christmas Eve we'll get a comic of just Martin, Steve, and Pintsize sitting around a table, commenting that they are the fifth, sixth, and the seventh dildo-shaped wheel in everybody else's life these days?

Anonymous

I'm so here for this week!!!

Dave Van Domelen

I dunno exactly when it happened, but at some point I realized I no longer liked sitcoms. Can't stand most of them, in fact. It took a while for me to analyze what I didn't like about them, and I think it comes down to using anxiety as cheap filler to get an emotional reaction and unearned laughter. Not every sitcom plot involves "Oh no, something horrible happened, now we're in trouble!" shenanigans, but almost every sitcom goes to that plot occasionally.

Love Brun's look when she's pleased or satisfied with herself. <3

Katrina Urmson

I'm all here for Brun and Renee being goofs week. Also for Renee being careful and correcting herself and appreciating the kindness.

Michael Voorhis

Big Brun fan, here. Yay Brun! :) :) :)

Joseph Bonnar

Brun, now with maximized floof!

Ashley Thomas

i rarely see hair floof with bangs and as someone with very floofy hair and bangs i appreciate it.

Czarzhan

Brun seems more expressive in this comic than she normally appears.

Ardent Slacker

Yeah. Manufactured social anxiety? No thanks, I make my own! That and "dragging out a scene for tension"... I'm like "yeah, you set the stage. We KNOW. Get on with it. I'm invested, now do the thing so my brain makes me not-miserable." Pretty sure that part's ADD. And the "this would be sorted out if these two characters would just TALK for one minute." so they don't until it's the climax, so they can "teach the lesson of communication" and that's a thing you can see so far ahead and that's just combining anticipation with social awkward! If they'd just write the characters DOING stuff, it'd be entertaining. Resolve misunderstandings in seconds because THAT humanizes the characters and fills time without being a stabbing discomfort. If I have time and inclination to write a better story than what I'm sitting through... I stop, because it's less entertaining than my own imagination.

SilverbackRon

Renee and Brun being goofs week? Hooray! This is going to be the best QC week since... well, last QC week, which was pretty darn good I must say.

SUPER FLOOFY

Captain Button

It is also an anime trope, but then Brun missed her cue.

Anonymous

I really love Brunfloof!

Carl Fink

Typo? "Bit" for "big"?

Azrux

MAXIMUM FLOOF

Anonymous

Panel 5 Renee is something I've had to tackle with with my own roommates. We've all wanted to be helpful, but don't want others to go out of the way for us.

Sleepy John

Nice recovery.

Mark Thomas

Martin is the dildo shaped dildo in Claire's life. I think he's content with that

Sandrock

We appreciate the increased floof

Anonymous

I was just thinking that it was time to check back in on Brun (though I'm biased as she is my favorite character), so I'm down for Brun and Renee being goofs week.

Populuxe

Floofiness increase approved. [stamp]

Andrew

Did they not notice an entire side of their apartment has no wall, with cameras, and an audience watching their every move?

Bagge

"Like, if you were to burn the aparment down with a toaster or something"

Anonymous

Potential typo: is that meant to be "bit sitcom trope", or "big sitcom trope"?

Anonymous

"Bit" as in "bit part," like a brief and low-importance moment, scene, or, in this case, trope.

Anonymous

Floof increase appreciated

Rob McBobson

Reminds me of when I bought a sandwich for a friend, and she didn't go "No, you don't have to," but simply said "Really? Thank you!" It was so great to find somebody who could just be happy over a small gift and not do the "polite" refusal.

Mark

At last report, Brun had something happening with Millefeuille, and there is of course her friendships with Elliot & Clinton as yet unresolved as possibly something more. https://www.questionablecontent.net/view.php?comic=4237

Replacing feelings of unworthiness when others are kind to you with feelings of gratitude is a big deal.

Scotty

It's the Renee and Brun Show

Brun looks different

Julie Scott

Thank you for Renee's correction of herself. "You didn't have to" always feel dismissive to me when I do a surprise nice thing. I love when you use your comic to show examples of how folks can communicate better.

Erin Moriarty

Floofy Brun is Best Brun

Anonymous

Also there's the underlying thing where Renee feels like she's always helping other people and she just realized a little that she was about to tell Brun to keep treating her that way. So not only is it better communication, it's Renee realizing that she does have people around her that can and will support her too.

Anonymous

We're used to seeing Brun in either public settings or states of trauma. She trusts Renee, so she trusts that her reactions are safe around Renee.

makes me think of the WandaVision trailer that just dropped https://www.msn.com/en-us/entertainment/news/wandavision-is-coming-to-disney-plus-by-the-end-of-2020-watch-the-first-full-trailer-that-shows-the-superheroes-raising-a-family/ar-BB19f1mx?ocid=msedgdhp
