Okay, Basilisk? You're my favourite now.

Adam Friedlander

dang May, even Bubs and Faye won't be able to fix you up after *that* burn

Fart Captor

Fighter jets don't even have asses to blow smoke up

Mordaeus

Stealth buuuuuuuuurn!

Captain Button

Same place the afterburners are. May be two of them. Insert spicy food jokes to taste.

David Hall

Look, I’m not saying that I’m starting to ship Roko & May. I’m just saying maybe they could buy a few loaves of bread & see where the evening takes them.

BobC

I think this could be the beginning of a beautiful friendship. An incendiary one, to be sure. But still...

Celine Chamberlin

So what's the ship name for these two? I'm thinking Mako.

Anonymous

jeph im sorry for my complicity in reducing your thoughtful and engaging comics to their character shipping potential but i am 100% on board the SS Mayko

BobC

It's been 200 comics (QC days? 9 months IRL.): How are Tilly and HannerDad doing? (I'm still thinking about incendiary relationships.)

Populuxe

I was just going to suggest Roko buy May a loaf of bread and see how she reacts.

Miyaa

That burn was spicier than that Thai Red Curry Fried Rice I had for lunch. (Yes, it was very spicy and very good.)

Will Weaver

Fire up the afterBURNers!

Holy fuck, Roko.

Stoodmuffin

You fucker. You are shipping them.

Stoodmuffin

"Here's an emotional moment. " "It doesn't matter, May only speaks the language of douche." RokoBurn.exe happens. Me: Where's my ship? May, with Roko: <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e5MAg_yWsq8" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e5MAg_yWsq8</a>

I'll forgive you any sin for your being a fan of Styx. :)

Bagge

Heh, well done, Roko!

Brent Catherman

Well May you set Roko up with that bomb rack joke so turnabout is fair play.

Mark

This does remind me a little of Bubbles first relating to Faye in the language of sick burns. <a href="https://www.questionablecontent.net/view.php?comic=3033" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">https://www.questionablecontent.net/view.php?comic=3033</a> <a href="https://www.questionablecontent.net/view.php?comic=3448" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">https://www.questionablecontent.net/view.php?comic=3448</a> <a href="https://www.questionablecontent.net/view.php?comic=3502" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">https://www.questionablecontent.net/view.php?comic=3502</a>

Let's put it this way: May had that subtly-disguised put-down coming to her! I believe that this is the first hint we have had that pre-jail May was not a nice person at all. Indeed, by indicating just what she wanted to do with her fighter jet, I suspect that she had some pretty serious issues with empathy and understanding consequences. Like she suggests, she's actually a better person now!

Anonymous

I don't think May has really considered how short her life as an autonomous fighter jet without the political or logistical support of any military group on the planet would have been.

Ben Russell-Gough

I wonder if she aspired to the status of a mercenary droid-fighter - Ammo and fuel from whoever hires her services?

Anonymous

May did her time and paid for her crime, but I still wouldn't hire her to look after large sums of money for me. Prudence and strict justice are at odds here. It would be good to forget all about her crime and trust her, but I don't think it's obligatory.

"Hi, I'm your new air force." Or "Your traditional enemies are offering me an airfield and all the fuel and ammo I can use to be their new air force. What are you offering?"

Been thinking. Roku's blather about bad cops, good cops, and, that all-purpose tool of sloppy thinkers, "the system" struck me as blather. However, I think the sight of the perfectly inoffensive and good dark-skinned guy quietly hiding because a cop might get mad could possibly sicken me beyond endurance were I in her position. He was so matter-of-fact.
