A solid follow up to the series premiere. The question of Who this Doctor is continues. Ecstatic that you get the dark humour of this Doctor, like I and many others do. The amount of times he's delivered one of those zingers and it envokes little to no response from previous reactors... While I'm chuckling along thinking they clearly need a funnybone transplant. 🤣 It helps that you have taken to him from the getgo. If you are more in the weighing up stage, then these early quips can often not sit as well. I do think it's so very important that the new Doctor is contrary in some ways to the previous. Peter was born to play The Doctor as a true life long fan. There's a wonderful story (amongst many others) of his interaction with a fan in the Czech Republic, whilst on a film set during a previous role. He'd gotten the role already but couldn't tell anyone. This child actor who didn't speak fluent English, came up to him and said he loved him as Doctor Who. Of course he meant that he'd loved him in The Fires of Pompeii episode. When Peter realised what he meant, after first thinking how does this little child know I'm going to be the next Doctor. Peter told him he should go get his phone because they must have a picture taken together. The kid wasn't that thrilled at the idea. I love the idea of that Kid finding out later when it was released. I hope he didn't just delete it. 🤣

I like this episode because I really like Journey Blue's actor, but otherwise it's not my favourite. An interesting idea, but the execution was so-so. The best bit about this episode is probably the bits with Danny, and the "No, you're a good Dalek" bit.
