By jove you've got it down absolutely right away!!! 😉😗 Of course we'll forgive any future slip. That would only be natural for you with the usual 'A' sound that you're instinctively used to when speaking organically. I'm no pronunciational megalomaniac. 🤣 Honestly I'm not. 😁 Them's be some broad northern English accents they were speaking with in this episode. One of my Grandmothers was from Yorkshire. I have a soft spot for a propa Yorkshire lass. (A lady from the county of Yorkshire.) You guys would mostly say York-shy-er. With more emphasis on that very present 'i' in the name. A lot of us would say York-sure to varrying degrees. For a reason I actually don't linguistically understand. 🤣 Probably stems from ever changing accents over hundreds and hundreds of years. From the influence of invading forces, both pre and post the formation of a single kingdom from a collection of kingdons. And we have a significant number of places with Shire in the name, and they all have that 'Sure' sound I think. (Not many Hobbits in most of them either.) 🤣 More so than you guys in the US. We have a LOT of very very different accents over a comparatively much shorter distance. You wouldn't have to drive for very long in the Britian to hear people speaking quite differently. I mostly have affection for this episode for the Yorkshire connection and for a lot of it's tone and performances. Not one of the best from this series imo. This 'might' be regarded as Matt's collectively weakest series as a whole. But independently, there are some very strong episodes amongst some less appreciated ones.

Oh I forgot a little silly fact. When the boy gives Strax directions, he reels them off like a Sat-Nav or GPS device. He then introduces himself as Thomas Thomas. This is a silly gag and nod to an early brand of GPS device for cars called a TomTom.
