Part 6 presented quite a few different opportunities for illustrations - the restaurant, the taxi journey back in which Andrew's buttons pop off, or even Andrew and Tommy's argument or Tommy wandering sullenly alone, or of course the pair's bedroom activities, but in the end I opted to draw the shower scene because I liked how raw and vulnerable I could have them looking in this moment, without inhibitions but still not being entirely open with each other yet. I think Carl got a lot of complicated emotional beats just right in this chapter.
