Summary:

Alicia Kerragin, a skilled chess player who has been on a winning streak playing against feudal lords in a land where conflicts and territory are won in chess games, dreams unifying all fiefdoms into one empire by winning every game against feudal lords who have territories in that disorganized region. No one could cope with her skillful strategies, until a mysterious red-eyed witch challenged him to a game: all or nothing, whoever wins will win all the other's fiefs and enslave the loser, but in a way that Alice didn't imagine (the loser will be turned into a chess piece).
