Someone one asked on my tumblr, what reshades I use, and when I explained that I don’t use any, because I simply like to edit photos myself, they inquired on how I edit.

I edit only using the Facetune app on my phone. I’ve only edited using my iPhone. It’s 3 apps total I use.

I would first use PicPlayPost, then Facetune and last Studio. If I'm not adding any text or images on top of the photo, no need for me to go into Studio after Facetune. If you watermark your photos, then yes, you should do so in Studio. I do pay for extra features on Facetune and Studio app monthly, or sometimes I pay annually.

First, PicPlayPost for my image ratio. I mostly post in portrait, so for Instagram I would use Full Screen (also use this for my magazine covers) and currently been obsessed with bigger images for Tumblr, so I use iPad Portrait for that.

Once I save in PicPlayPost I upload now in Facetune.

I honestly decide the color tone of the photo depending on the story I’m telling. If the photo I’m sharing is sadder and moodier, I’ll tend to add blue tones. If the photo is more romantic, I’ll add pink and red tones. So, they have different filters and edit options that I mostly use.

I simply play around with different filters but I always in the edit section use Structure, Color, Grain. I love a grainy effect to my photo; this is just my personal choice.

These are two filters I typically used more often than others. Play around and find your own aesthetic.
