Red Sonja in Chains. (Patreon)

Okay, I’ve been cheating a little. I took the splint off this morning to see if I can still draw. Its rough but I know it always takes a little time to get everything back. I do find when I take a break, I’m able to get rid of some bad drawing habits (or learn some new ones!)

I wasn’t expecting the reception for a Red Sonja comic in the last poll! My concern is that Red Sonja isn’t a major comic character and I’m hoping that everyone knows who she is as she has been passed around from studio to studio and whored out by Marvel to anyone who needs her (slut! LOL).

So, I don’t like drawing violence (except for the erotic kind) and although we can’t have a barbarian sword for hire without a little violence, the comic is going to be mostly sexual... which (breaking news) I LOVE to draw! How do I draw a Red Sonja comic without tons of gore and violence?

I’ve been trying to wrap my head around that and came across a fanfic about Red Sonja getting captured. Not a great story but it did get me thinking that this would be great groundwork for a Red Sonja story. Of course Red’s strong will can never be broken so we can expect her to constantly resist her many captors and finding ways to use any opportunity she can to her advantage.

I’m going to come up with a rough outline and we’ll see if I can get this project going!
