Here's the result of that script I recently posted. I was eight years old the first time I was told that I was going to hell. I didn't believe it then, and I don't believe it now. What truly struck me, though, what made that memory stand out, was that the other child who told me that was smiling as he did so. Even at that early age, I understood how this horrid belief appealed to the darker side of humanity.
