MNL Progress Report #38 (Patreon)

Hey there, nudies! Happy Canada Day!

Gonna be a shorter blog post today. As mentioned last time, we're working on the last couple cutscenes in this demo, but unfortunately, one of them is by far the longest in the game. It's not an overly complicated cutscene, but it is a lot to put together nonetheless. It's gonna take a bit of time.

While we do that though, Bear has just about finished bringing our librarian to life!

She looks especially cute in 3D! I kind of love how she turned out. A nude model is also being made in conjunction, but it's not quite ready yet.

Not only that, but we've been expanding the cafe environment to include a small little outdoor park for Amber to explore and interact with.

It's very rough still, but it's coming along well (obviously, because Bear's making it). I was on the fence for a while about the inclusion of any sort of park with playground equipment because I didn't want to imply the existence of children in this game. You just won't see any in Culo Culo Town, and I wanted to dodge questions like "what if kids see Amber? There's clearly stuff for kids here". But a city without a park feels empty, doesn't it? Even Liberty City has an infamously glitchy park!

Beyond that, a city park is a place where you can be free to just relax and be yourself outside and away from the hustle and bustle. In sneaky exhibitionist stories, the park is always a go-to place for a character to explore and enjoy themselves in relative safety. But Amber doesn't have to worry about sneaking, does she? It would be a shame if we didn't let her play in the park under the blue sky and bright sun in nothing but her birthday suit! That's exactly what this game is about! So in the end, we decided to say fuck it and give Amber some equipment to play on. Swing on the swingset, climb on the bars - have fun and be naked! Good ways to build athleticism outside the gym, too!

Though I'm still tempted to put up a sign that says "Adult Playground" in the park, just to dodge the existence of children and also because I think it's kinda funny.
