MNL Progress Report #26 (Patreon)

Hey there, nudies! It's the very last day of (Edit) MARCH and things are moving fast for us over here at Birthday Suit! In fact, I have a bit of choice paralysis over what to touch on first. We're getting to a point where this thing could very well be ready really soon, so I don't really want to spoil too much more. I've got to be a bit more selective so you can all have some surprises to look forward to!

So, let's just go over the broad details. All of our demo-related animations are complete! We might commission a few more over this polish and testing period just to give Amber even more cute things to do, but AT did some incredible work for us getting everything we initially needed. Vanware has finished a couple more INCREDIBLE songs for the soundtrack, and Bear is working on some more environmental assets to make the town feel even more alive, including these adorable mini-trucks.

No point in walking down the street naked if no one's driving by to see, right?

Invertex and I are neck deep in code and scripting, really just hammering away at it. Invertex is of course handling all of the ACTUAL code, making sure everything actually works together (and doing a damn good job too, if I may be so bold). I'm more just in the writing department, helping assign animations and setting up the camera work for cutscenes. We weren't able to finish that up this week, but I don't think it'll take much longer. To be honest, having to do all this cutscene prep has been a great way to revisit this script and give it some tweaks. I've said it before, but I'm extremely happy with how this story came out. I think we have a really tightly-paced, super cute prologue to kick off Amber's butt-naked adventures. I'm really excited for you to see not just Amber but the other fun characters we have for her to bounce off of!

Despite the setbacks, there's a finish line in sight! I'm extremely confident that we can get something in your hands by the end of April, if not sooner.
