I like this video because it is very close to what we go through with our golden retriever. She pulls on the leash, plays with our shoe laces, and tries to bite our arm, or clothes. Glad to hear this is normal, and glad to see some ways to deter those behaviors. I got some moments of not biting on the leash by following your suggestions. We're on a break now. After viewing your video again, I think I'm ready to work on this again. How many times during the day should we work on a skill?

My Kali is a great walker. A big part of it is because I first taught her to engage with me via eye contact. It was great to see your video as reinforcement that I took the right approach. It really paid off and our walks are very enjoyable for both of us. If I could only get her to stop barking at other dogs we encounter on our walks. I would love to see a video about how to make dogs less anxious/aggressive around unknown dogs.
