Hi I recently got a rescue dog she is 2 or 3 years old she doesn’t know anything at all she doesn’t know how to play or any rewards and scared of anything last owner was so cruel and hurt her now she is better but having problems teaching her specially not pee in the house

Brought home a 3 yr old lab/boxer/pit mix from rescue 2 days ago. She's acclimating pretty well, I tested her with shelter cats before I brought her home, she either ignored or gave them wide berth. She started out doing the same with my two cats, but now is growling when they approach. Can you give me your thoughts? I will be starting today on your distraction method, and have started the look at me training. She's obviously had some basic training in the old home she was surrendered from, and is willing to listen, for the most part, but she will not stop growling at cats unless they move away, or I relocate her.
