All Hail Our Benevolent AI Overlords Part 4 - It's a Knighty Day (Patreon)

Hello, Dear Readers.  It's been a while, but since I got reminded by a comment on Royal Road, I decided to delve into the dark recesses of NovelAI's stable diffusion image generator and dig up a few presentable images.

Let's start with a couple of alternatives for Arnwald. The AI really wasn't cooperative when it came to his epic side-burns, but I did the best I could.

And then here's the third variant. Not much to add to this guy; he's just grizzled.

And here's an alternative with a different hair style. I really wanted to get a version of him from the hot springs episode, with his Hawaiian shirt, but the AI was uncooperative and I had to give up.

Speaking of uncooperative, here's the best Roland I could manage. The part that gave me a huge headache was that whenever I tried to use the "mustache" keyword, I've got...

Morgana was also tricky, because of multiple reason. This is the only one where I managed to force the AI to get the hair bun right.

On the other hand, I like the armor better on this one. As for the main source of my annoyance... well, two words:

Boob armor. Seriously, since the AI was trained on Gelbooru images, which are fanservicey at best and outright smut at worst, it was a pain in the neck to sort out any generations where she didn't have enormous boobs encased in an equally enormous "breast plate". This was one of the more tasteful examples, so I saved it for illustration.

Now, we can't forget about Sir Percival and... his six fingers. Hey, give some slack to the AI. It tried.

And then, of course, we needed a representation of his more serious, side as well.

That's all I made for now. I might make another batch in the near future, once the next arc with all of its character kick into high gear.

Also, on a completely unrelated note, I'm thinking about revamping the tiers a bit. Tax season is around the corner, and since Patreon is now my main source of income, my friends keep nagging me that I'm under-monetizing my work, so I figure it's about time I do something about it.

I'm still considering exactly what that something should be, but for now, the plan is to actually use the tiers for something other than appreciation-levels. Since I'm steadily building up a buffer in front of the public releases, once we're past two whole chapters (which should happen next week), I'm planning to to put anything further than that behind the $10 tier. After that, everything past three whole chapters will go behind the $20 tier. I might also change the actual numbers up, something like 3/5/8/15, but I'll first have to math it out so that I wouldn't end up either with a deficit, or at the end of a pitchfork by an angry lynch mob. Hopefully I can clobber together a compromise that makes most of us happy.
