(In this AU) Mermaids/-men and sirens are mostly known as dangerous creatures who will pull sailors to the ground of the sea to eat them. There‘s no real evidence for that, because most people who encountered a mermaid vanished. One thing is for sure tho, people are willing to pay a crazy amount of gold for a mermaid.
