here's a Timelapse of my new painting technique! painting is actually one of my oldest skills but it was very easy to forget, hoping to hone what I know and learn some new techniques digitally so I can start painting in real life again!

also, interesting tid-bit... I was very unsatisfied with my first attempt at inking this particular peice but found an easy and mysterious solution to the problem; flipping the sketch layer.

here's my first go at inking it compared to the original sketch:

and here's my second attempt after flipping:

it seems to preserve the natural flow and energy of the original drawing, not sure why but who knows, likely to continue doing this into the future!

also important to note that the original sketch was done without flipping the canvas at all so, food for thought
