Original Character development: Adam (Patreon)

if you've been following my work lately you'll know I've been creating a lot of art of this "new" oc so I decide to collect everything here and tell y'all more about him

Adam is a character that's been with me since highschool and I recently decided it was time to blow the dust off him

he's kind of a cliche cyberpunk protagonist but those parallels were ofc 100% intentional

he's a love letter to blade runner, ghost in the shell ect. and I see no reason to make those influences any less obvious or prominent lol

anyway though, Adam in the past has mostly existed as AU versions of Ex-blorbos, but he's always been a vessel for the frustration and loneliness I've experienced in different stages of my life

I'm still developing the lore of his world but basically Adam is a reclusive robotic engineer who lives in a future where cybernetic "enhancements" are extremely common and exist congruently with AI that mostly takes the form of behavioral mimicry and advertisment algorithms

the one potential outlier in this world is Xeta, a young robot that takes the form of a child

adam becomes Xetas guardian after a string of circumstances and run in's with other wacky characters I haven't developed yet and they learn about eachother and heal from traumas as they go and there's also a love interest not pictured here but anyway...

I've been wanting to write a familial story like this for a long while and hope I can continue to flesh things out in between working on my more upbeat stuff, it's a nice break from all my usual work and gives me an excuse to work with colors and scenery and designs I normally wouldn't
