Although it's the right thing not to risk another's safety, Roshim will still feel resentment towards Leily for being the thing that keeps him from fighting. He doesn't realize Leily is the reason for this break-in; something that Avalon will understand immediately

I think if you want to convey that he's only giving in because of the risk to Leily, you'll want to have his inner monolog mention it. As it is now it reads like he thinks he would lose and isn't fighting because of that. If you added one more extension of the thought bubble with "and Leily" it would help to drive that point home
