Took a minute to get this one out properly. Whether Willy means to or not, I think he holds his arm across his chest because some part of him is embarrassed about it. The first panel conveys the emotions I want very well, and says a lot about their character dynamic 

Cody more passive, laying back as Willy moves on top of him, but accepting, and Willy moving forward despite his own vulnerabilities
