There's been a hell of a lot of build up to this, I hope it feels worth it! Despite the reader having an insight into Cody's inner monologue, Willy has been pretty much on his own. This second kiss has a different sort of weight to it

The dialogue flow is a bit awkward on that last bit, still gotta think about that
