Aaron gets a little more expressive. He's not a big talker so I wanted his gestures to express that he's having a hard time getting all this out

Also here's the rollup for the comic so far!

There is no right or wrong in relationships. If he really do understand, he would continue the relationship after he graduates if he still wants. Its better for both of them.

You got me crying in the quarantine club rn 😭😭😭

Aaron's honesty was so refreshing.

Dariex

I understand where Aaron is coming from. He’s earned some points with me. In real life being gay is wrong in the NFL like being gay changes reality itself. Just cause who you choose to love doesn’t mean it changes who you are as a person. This situation can lead to a toxic relationship if they were dating, I hope Jesse understands and they can just be friends. It be for the best.

That was heartbreaking...

Maaaaan homophobia sucks shit dude. It's nice that now is better than ever for queer people, but after a quick Google, I just found out that there has NEVER been an openly gay or bi player in the NFL. Even now in 2020. Oof

Really like the dialog here. Finding a character's voice is so important. And facing an expositional wall-of-text in comics is always a tricky proposition; you pulled it off very well here!

You are doing a great job with the expressions, you can see it really weighs on him to say this stuff

God bless his lil muscly soul

i remember when you first started chapter 1 of this comic and i wasn't expecting any character or story depth like this. it's really awesome seeing these characters, especially Aaron, grow and develop and feel somewhat relatable. this is wonderful, i really hope once chapter 2 is done there may be a 3rd in the future!

Teaf Sochi

Big mood, honestly.

I know where he's coming from but that's heavy

That hand motion is so telling in that last panel, like you can feel the weight of it getting ready to drop as he tries to put the emphasis on each word. And i feel Aaron deeply here, he has just described a hard stent of Southern Living and being gay.

I love how you’re breaking the big jock stereotype with Aaron 🥺💖 he is trying to play the role but has so much more to offer and that scares him!! Completely in love w this!! 😭💖

It takes a big man to admit his fear. And the fact that this is all coming out now (which makes sense, because even though they've kinda explored this, it hasn't gotten this... deep yet) means that there... might not be a relationship here. So it kinda cuts both ways, especially since Jesse doesn't want to be the 'side chick'. ...But also poly....

Hurts... but still masterfully brilliant.

you gotta do what's best for you Jesse! bein' a man's secret to protect his pride and family ain't no way to live!!! ugh this is so good! character voice is so strong, the expressions are so dynamic, and the conflict is complex and beautiful and also sucks so much! as a trans woman, in the past i've hid my identity (and a long time ago was completely hid myself) from past partner's families/public lives and this really hits home- i genuinely feel for aaron, but i hope Jesse makes the best decision for himself! no side chicks! no secrets, baby!
