Des's body language is always half-inviting, half-protective. I thought it was fitting for him to be introduced with physical damage. Hopefully the slow burn is worth it and makes him more interesting! 

As much as I love A&J, they are still very simple characters, and not much went into the world-building. I want to go a step further with TGA and deal with weird gender things, along with strange people falling for each other
