I really love how they both communicate so much here... WITHOUT saying a single word (except for the first panel). ^^ The body language, the different view angles and the moody atmosphere all works on its own. And of course... the last panel is priceless! ^^ Very emotional and I like how Avalon is trying to ease the tension a little bit... and maybe providing some comfort at the same time. Also, I guess that he's aware of his... rather blunt nature. But he did not want to offend his friend. So he offers the pipe and a warm pat on the back.
