We are filming Biden vs Trump this weekend! (Patreon)

This weekend we are filming an ERB! :) The wait has been long and frustrating and we're unsure how smooth it will go. But, we are excited to finally be able to attempt to film a live action battle. It will be the first time Peter and Lloyd have met in person since March. So, its gonna be exciting and weird in equal measures. (the photo above is Pete trying out a Joe Biden outfit)

Warning - some spoilers ahead so proceed with caution!

We've spent 6 weeks writing the lyrics and creating the audio. Its been a long process, a lot of rewrites, but its 99% complete now. Just a few tweaks are being made today. It's gonna be a straight 1 vs 1 battle with no third party. We considered all kinds of ideas for a third party, but none of them worked out. Whilst a straight up fist fight between Trump and Biden ended up being our preferred setup - it's two verses each and 3 minutes long - so longer than most of the other S6 battles.

We are taking as many precautions as we can with the filming. It's gonna be a smaller crew with everyone in masks / PPE and we'll all be taking covid tests before and after. Some of the crew have family members with health conditions and children to worry about, so we plan on minimising risks as much as possible. Fingers crossed it will go smooth.

The video should be ready sometime in late October. Once its finished we'll upload to YouTube pretty much immediately, so the release date just depends how long the editing process takes. Following this election battle we will have another battle coming out in late November. That one is animated in Lego and is about 80% complete right now. It's looking and sounding amazing!

2020 has been a rough year for everyone, but we're happy that we are finally going to be able to release these two battles. We've enjoyed spending more time on the writing and audio for both of them. That's been one positive knock on effect from the pandemic/lockdown and we hope it shows in the tracks when you hear them.

We've no set plans for 2021 yet. We do have three very rough demos recorded, but covid has affected every aspect of what we do. So, it's tricky to plan anything right now. Filming during a pandemic is not something we truly want to be doing; as being in a hot, enclosed studio for 14 hour long days is a significant health risk no matter what precautions we take. Maybe the old adage of "quality over quantity" is something we just need to embrace.
