So! Now that I'm taking a break from working, I've got a few things I wanna chat with you all about.

Topic Polls: EDIT: Topic polls were apparently externally archived before the purge. I'll be working on the Dronification mini-vid next, followed by Stable Stud. Polls for the next videos after that will be up soon!

New Software: I'm kinda at the end of my rope with Vegas. It's a shit program. Constant crashing, freezing, and slowdown have been plagues on my workflow. I've decided enough is enough and I'm moving to new software. This will mean a couple of things. First, production's gonna slow down for a bit while I learn the new program. Hopefully it'll balance out in the long run though, as I won't have to recover from crashes every half-hour. Also likely a few visual changes, as many of the effects and transitions I use are built into Vegas. But fret not! I'll use whatever tools I have to bring you that gooning goodness.

Possible Hiatus and/or Suspension of Lab Rat Tier: Not immediately, but at some point in the future. There are other projects I'd like to dive into, and there are also video ideas I wanna tackle, regardless of how popular they might be. In either case there will obviously be advance notice, and in the case of a full hiatus, a payment freeze.

Zonk Academy?: I've had numerous people approach me to ask for tips about how I edit my videos. If i were to make another tier with some instructional videos about editing, syncing, song hunting, etc. would any of you be interested? Let me know!

Thanks for the information!! I think I’d still want to show you the same amount of support despite any delays though. It’s really hard to find goon content even close to yours and definitely not surrounding expansion n’ weight gain! That said, with the new policies, I’d assume some of the content that was in the polls might be erring towards unviable. Have you thought about migrating sites?

IIRC the Stable Stud option you had was the favorite by far anyway before Patreon had its ... episode. That being said if you are looking for a video editing program, DaVinci Resolve is nice, albeit with a learning curve as steep as (if not steeper than) Blender.

After briefly looking into Olive, Resolve is my (tentative) choice for new software. Thankfully my editing needs are fairly simple, so I think after a little bit of acclimation it'll be fine. And yes! I've been pointed to an archive of the poll posts so I now know what I'm working on next.
