💚Spider beats💚 (Patreon)

Ahh I finished my spider oc sheet thingie!! I have a ton of fun drawing this out finally. The vibe I was going for here was very early 00s y2k era thing, 

The idea for Devin is she’s from an obscure 00s cartoon, I took inspiration from a ton of different things you may pick up on by just looking at her, Scott pilgrim, powerpuff girls, life as a teenaged robot, jet set radio, etc

I like to think her cartoon appealed most to teens, and her cartoon has some cult following, because she is from a cartoon I think she follows cartoon rules too

The main one is she’s way she gets smaller in her suit and is taller outside of it, the reasoning for that is because the animators found her more easy to animate  like that, but it makes it a funny visual gag pff 

I need to revamp her backstory still, but I know for sure she’s a tom boy, loves extreme sports like roller skating, skate boarding, etc and has a love for music. I like to think when she fights she’ll dance to the beat, and depending on the song she’ll match her fighting to that 

That’s why her name has an almost double meaning, Spider-beats, as in songs she listens to, and Spider beats up, cause she beats up villains. I think it’s pretty cute! 

Also if she does well, I hope to draw out the rest of her villains, seeing I did make designs for all of them too, got a peak at them here with Rhino and green goblin,, But first up would definitely be Emma Brock probably
