Before drawing Shizuka growing up, I first wanted to make a lil comic about Suzie q and Joseph’s complex relationship. Definitely not excusing Joseph for cheating LMAO I personally feel Suzie Q wouldn’t per-say forgive him, but would still be in love with him. I don’t mind the cheating jokes that are at Joseph’s expense, but I wouldn’t say I’m a fan of people just denying Joseph was ever a good guy. Or even that his and Suzie’s relationship was never good, cause that’s just a straight up lie. I don’t like how cut and dry people assume this situation would be, that Suzie just leaves Joseph. I don’t think it’d be that simple, so this comic is the idea of that. On how complex love could get  

Also a fun note the line “You’re a selfish jerk” is what Suzie Q calls out to Joseph as he drives off with the others to go fight the pillar men. So that’s just a little detail/call back hehe
