Despite Elizabeth being circus baby now, that doesn’t make her less of Michael’s little sister

I think Michael genuinely misses his siblings, and feels regret, guilt, etc on the fact they aren’t around anymore

I think he would want to just hug his sister, even if she’s trying to kill him, or has killed him once before, not inherently her fault, you can kinda hear in Michael’s voice, in sister location, how he’s always accepted that baby mistaken him for his father, etc I think he does know that Elisabeth isn’t fully cognizant as Baby
