This is about characters from tv series and movies:

Thing is, obviously they hold a popular advantage over original characters, and I can see how frustrating that might be to others who submit their OCs.

Should I accept suggestions having characters from movies/series?

It's a valid argument, it'd be unfair either way. Maybe there could be two suggestion pools? One for pop culture, the other for original characters. The biggest disadvantage would be placed on you as this situation would force you to sketch 12 additional images a month; since we don't know your personal life, this could be a burden. Ultimately, I'm happy either way. I love your work, no matter what it is.

If a TV character gets chosen, all TV characters could be put on cooldown for the next month.

I think a good compromise would be to have each weekend with two polls, one rule 34 and one OC specific one, and you do the top one from both polls only. Same amount of sketches per month, but more variety of characters winning.

How about you alternate instead? Maybe instead of doing the two most chosen ideas, you could do two seperate polls? One for non-OCs and one for OC-only?

Ultimately I think it should be your choice and really, why not just call either a OC-only or canon-only or FFA poll as the whim strikes you? On an unrelated note I'll endeavor to try and throw out more suggestions in the future ^^

I wonder if it'd help to run popular movie/cartoon character and OCs in seperate polls. I also figure something like that might be more troublesome keeping track of/balanced-- also probably complicated. In any case is probably just recommend do whatever best suits you. :D

I second this, or even themes per month. Similarly, maybe a certain week or two of the month could be dedicated solely to OC's.
