You know, I enjoyed Frieren Anime a lot! But I had no idea that Frieren was topping the charts right now as far as seasons of anime went. My reasons for liking it were that it was about as faithful as faithful it could get to the source OG manga and that it focused on a refreshing angle of a fantasy anime (cutting out the cliche isekai stuff completely).

If anyone is interested in trying out Frieren, I would highly recommend it but I'll put this out there, it's not for those of you who are after non-stop action and lots of conflict, you're probably going to get bored.

Frieren is about a journey focusing on the emotional introspective of what it's like to live as a timeless elf who outlives everyone she holds dear. It's a pretty rare anime where you can see the passage of time having a clear effect on the world we see through the eyes of Frieren who lived for 1000+ years. I would delve more but don't want to spoil it for anyone who might be interested in trying out the show!

Übel is a pretty interesting character too! I thought she'd be a stereotypical maniacal villain but you kinda grow to like her even though she's a bit crazy in a good way.
