I know this is way too early, but after this, I hope you would consider watching House on Wheels Ep 7 & 8, then Knowing Brothers Ep 150 & 151. IU was a guest on both shows, the first one with Yeo Jin Goo (Ku Chansung in Hotel del Luna) and the 2nd with Lee Joon Gi (4th Prince Wang So in Scarlet Heart).. 😊

I am a korean and i think eating with closed mouth is polite thing. But i don t think people think they have to close their mouth. And my opinion hyori said its weird because IU NEVER open her mouth while eating. You know when we try to eat close my mouth , my mouth open unintentionally a little bit. But as u can see IU never her mouth a little bit. So your k friend said right. I am still learning English... So sorry about the grammar things... ㅎㅎㅎㅎ

I knew eating with mouth open thing was bothering you. Because I remember you said you didn't like people making a noise while eating. Of course, it is proper etiquette to chew with your mouth closed in Korea but we don’t care about that as much as the western people do. (Especially when we eat with close friends) but you can't make a 'noise' (Chewing sound) while eating

It is also polite to keep your mouth closed and eat in Korea. But some people don't care about it. So sometimes there are fights on the Internet about that. But we don't actually comment on this in real very well because it's more rude to pinch the rudeness of the others. When it aired, some people, including me, didn't understand Hyo-lee's saying too. But IU is unusual too. She never opened her mouth and chew long time.

My teacher was in the military and was stationed in Korea and was told that the reason most eat with their mouth open is that it makes food taste better showing how good the food is something like that
