You’ll definitely start to like IU’s character more and more with every following episode. Also, her name “Man Wol” means Full Moon. That’s why whenever they showed the sword and the subtitles said “Full Moon” it was her name on her sword.

You'll learn more about Koreans and their culture by watching KDrama than any other way short of living in Korea. Another thing you'll notice when you watch a lot of these is that you'll see the same faces over and over, because the acting community is quite small by American standards. Korean actors are very versatile, for example the old guy (Kim Won Hae) who stabbed Man Wol has played regular thugs, comedy thugs, tough cops, and wise sidekicks. IU isn't the only Kpop star who has taken up acting either. Yook Sung jae from BtoB had a major role in Guardian: The Lonely and Great God, my second favorite drama after Hotel del Luna and a starring role in Mystic Pop-up Bar.
