Hi! It's been a bit since my latest status update, but I thought, today should not be another day in which I don't update you with what I've been doing lately.

So, last week, I've been troubled by some bugs in regards to NPCs' inventories (something related to Event Handling in Scriptable Objects in Unity, a bit of a complicated topic), but I'm happy to say, I have found a pretty good solution! It should be more stable from now on, you may have noticed that sometimes the NPCs would be naked for no reason.

That should improve general stability in the game and future proof it for what's coming, but that isn't as satisfying to hear as news about actual content, so here are my plans:

I asked Patrons in a poll if they'd like me to work on the Blackmail content as a definite ending to the ISA in terms of NSFW plot intrigue & scenes for this month or rush ahead with finishing the ISA, at the risk of not getting much NSFW content outside of a new bedtime scene.

Turns out, the opinions were fairly divided and it was difficult to plot what I should do. It seems that finishing the blackmail sequence may be a popular desire, so I've gone ahead and planned the content for that. 

Here's what this month's update should/will include:

  • 4 New Scenes. (this is actually a pretty big feat, because the scenes are fairly complex and made up of three characters in some cases). One of the scenes has already been rendered and drawn, and now I'm rigging it for the animation. The other 3 are undergoing the rendering process.
  • Short Intrigue Dialogues, meant to build context for the new 4 scenes.
  • Important Bugfixes 
  • Quality of Life Improvements (I'm planning on adding a hide button on the dialogue UI so you can hide the dialogue UI during scenes)

Considering that 4 scenes are pretty ambitious, much of my time will be spent on getting them done. Everything is more complex because there are more characters to draw and animate, it adds complexity but I think it's a good idea since they'll likely be the last animations the ISA gets.

I'm lucky I discovered the root cause of many of my inventory related bugs, so that's also a pretty big feat.

That's all I can mention so far, I'll continue working hard to not have issues building up to my plans. Although I've gotten faster at animations, rigging is a time consuming process especially when 3 characters are involved...
