Hey! I don't have much to say, just that I'm happy I wouldn't have to delay this release. I would've liked to finish an NPC inventory equipment system I'm working on so that the chibis in the classroom would also have jumpsuits in addition to other quality of life improvements, but that may have to come in the next update or maybe even next week if my situation gets better.

Here's a short summary of what changed since last week, click here to read the status update with more information about things in general including the below bulletpoints:

  • Modified the Save System so you can explore your saves locally on a standalone build (like Windows), allowing you to save saves somewhere, send them to me for debugging, or load a save that I'm providing with the build to jumpstart yourself to the latest content (it's found inside the zip in the attachments)
  • Redesigned the player character's chibi clothing sprite order, so her clothes won't render above world objects like desks. This is to be extended to NPCs with the changes I'm making to the system.
  • Amani's and Alberto's avatars won't render when the static scene is being rendered near the end of the classroom content, so nothing will obscure the view.

However, I haven't managed to fix the issue regarding the fact that when you save during the classroom content and load that save, you won't be able to continue the content properly as you could from the point of the save. There wasn't any time, so that's why I'm calling this a "semiproper" release rather than a proper release. If next week will get better, I'll definitely look into this issue in addition to the NPC inventory system extension.
