Hey! I've returned from vacation recently. My PC for drawing had some issues with memory errors that led to progress being lost, so I sent some components back in warranty and waiting for them to all come back.

Meanwhile, with my older PC I've resumed working in Unity and I've done the following:

  • Designed a location at the ISA, the ISA Garden. The ISA researchers have experimented with altering the genetic code of different plants, in addition to combining the DNA of bacteria brought by samples in the solar system. The plants and flowers in this small botanical area can affect recruits in interesting ways, providing a good side-content location (we could even make a quest that leads you here to pick up some samples and study them with Morris).
  • Designed different personalities for the ISA recruits. I took every NPC separately, gave them a background, a desire, personality and possible content the player character might have when interacting with them. I'll try to make the list public on our upcoming public trello board.
  • Set up a patrol pathfinding system that can be seen in the GIF from below.

There are other things that have been done, but it's a work in progress.

As soon as I have my good PC back I can get back to creating art assets for the game. The PC I'm currently using has memory constraints that would lead to me losing data when drawing so it'd be risky.

My apologies, my schedule got a bit whack since I came back. I wanted to do more QA for the $1 Build but I think it's alright since I haven't seen bugs reported in the latest content, just in the festival and bar minigame sequences. I released the build in the next post and I'll be updating both it and the $5 build at the same time as bugs get solved and the new planned extra content gets added in based on community feedback which will come soon with my upcoming public trello board and discussions.
