From now on, the development updates will have the current date written into the title to prevent further confusion.

Since the last post, I have achieved the following things:

  • Fixed 3 instances that led to the player seeing a rectangle surrounding the player's character, those were caused by a lack of .png files the game was looking for and even though the .png existed, it was not named correctly within those passages.
  • The explorer outfit has a hat that is not supposed to be there, it led to the hair overlapping the hair. The hat already exists as a separate .png file, so the fix is to cut the hat from the .pngs files that contain the explorer outfits. This bug has been added on my Trello board and will be fixed by the next release.
  • Wrote 3.3k words, putting a more emphasis this time on immersion so that the player feels connected to the character they are playing.
  • Advanced the "save Melissa and her crewmates" plotline with a realistic situation of needing to sway 4 different influential Likurieris whose opinion is widely respected by the other Likurieris during a night mission to your side by any means possible. During the preparation of this mission, you will be able to choose between 2 pieces of clothing, the academy outfit and the more-revealing explorer outfit. Each of them brings new situations depending on the dialog choices you choose to use.
  • Drew the 4 Likurieris whose names are, ordered by encounter, Meren'goth, Zdra'math, Pikre'dash, Durobi'shin each having different personalities that are reflected in their dialog. So far I've only written the first encounter, for Meren'goth. As an example, I've included the briefing the player gets for the first target at the bottom of this post. As a mention, this briefing is given by Elga'neth, one of the most vocal supporters of humans' innocence who also happens to be a scientist (for reasons given within the game).
  • Playing with the 'window.scrollBy(x, y)' function until I can get it working so that on the player won't need to scroll by themself. I'm currently adjusting it so that it will use the 'screen.height' attribute on the browser with the hope that no matter what resolution the player uses, the text will be scrolled down to the relevant part correctly (this may not work on Edge and mobile browsers).

Thank you for your patience. I am balancing my time between r34 drawings and game development. There are ongoing attempts to draw a relatively attractive female Likurieris as well. When I feel confident with the new version, I will post a Patreon exclusive development build at first and I will iron out the game through repeated replays so that the player will reach the current stage of the story in a smooth manner. I've come to realize that if I keep trying to get the old writing up to the quality of the newer writing, it will greatly slow down the development time so I am mostly focusing on any bugs and ways to make story progression more fun.

After the current plotline is over, the LifeSim-like gameplay begins.

As for the short description of the first influential Likurieris you meet within the village:

The first one is Meren'goth. He is known for his never-serious demeanor and his ability to make even the most serious people crack a smile. I suspect he will be the easiest to sway to our side, as he holds no grudge against humans and at first he was quite vocal to offer your people shelter. You may find the following personality traits relevant: joker, outgoing, and sexually deviant.
