So rather than list out my full ranking bc who has the energy, here's my top 5 of these initial performances:

  • 1st. Hwiseo & Bora (tied, don't make me choose. Fire vs water, both powerful, both infinitely rewatchable for me)
  • 3rd. Yeoreum (no one was surprised, that's my girl right there and imo she gave the best dance performance of the lot)
  • 4th. Suyun (regardless of what it sounded like in studio, it was fire to me and I will not be forgiving the down votes lmao. Justice for all the RoPu girls honestly)
  • 5th. Jiwon (dare I say, serving c*nt and doing mother Chungha proud)

Rounding out my top 10 in no particular order bc STRUGGLE: Yeeun, Jihan, Yuki, Nana & Chaeyeon. It's a close race after the top 5 tho I won't lie

Let me know your favorites too! Just remember that this is all in good fun and isn't about judging the girls' abilities (literally who are we to judge really lmao), just about how much you enjoyed the performances!

Thanks for the reaction Kaia! I wasn't very familiar with Weeekly before Queendom Puzzle, but it was Soojins performance that made my current chosen lineup click. I'm on the Bora train since before we knew for certain she was coming on the show, and I fully believe we need both Bora and Kei in the final group. Yeoreum also brings so much talent to the table that I have to believe she will make it too. Now the group I picture with Bora, Kei and Yeoreum isn't a girl crush group. Soojins mature and elegant performance of Flower just immediately fell into place in that mental picture. I think Nana will also be a fantastic fit for this type of vibe. Then we're just left with two spots, and some incredible talents like Hwiseo, Jiwon, Yeeun and Yuki to pick 2 from to round out the group that in my mind can deliver a new take on the vibes from many Oh My Girl, Gfriend, Red Velvet and Lovelyz type concepts.

The order we're watching is definitely not the order they performed, in the first ep. you can see that when Chaeyeon was back from her performance Yeoreum wasn't there, she was probably getting ready

My ultra biased 7 pick is (in no particular order) - Yeeun, Bora, Nana, Miru, Suyun, Riina and Jooe. Also just realized that my 7 includes literally everyone with a bob.

Bora is undoubtedly the most vocally talented competitor on this show but after watching Hwiseo performance I think that can be Boras potential drawback. Thinking about all the competitors and the purpose of the show being making the perfect fit 7 member group I can see Hwiseo being a more versatile pick as a main vocal. It’s the same debate I get in with my friends because I always so there are people stronger and more technical than Taeyeon but I consider her the best main vocalist in kpop she can do multiple genres and concepts and do exceedingly well. I’m getting more invested in this show than I though I would and thanks for reacting because I would’ve been watching by myself which is less fun.

A bit about Miru. She wasn't originally NMB48's center, but she was always a staple in Senbatsu (top members picked for promotional singles). After the main center members graduated one by one, she became a center then :) As for my Top performances... I am heavily biased towards Chaeyeon, but even I thought she can do so much better. Since both her and Haein left the show, I am not including them in this ranking. And I seriously FORCED myself to rank them all properly, so no equal spots...though my heart hurts... 1. YEEUN - she was just so relaxed and such a queen, I had to give it to her. 2. BORA - her vocals...man...my heart.... 3. YEOREUM 4. NANA - I contemplated between the two, and even though Nana's performance was very captivating, Yeoreum's dance KO'ed me. 5. HWISEO - she is such an amazing vocalist, and I am happy to be her fan ❤️ 6. YEONHEE - oh man, if I wasn't already bias-wrecked by her in RP... I would be now! 7. JIWON - what a queen, she slayed 8. ZOA - her song choices - I approve!! And she was hella memorable to me 9. YUKI - isn't she one of the most gorgeous contestants though?! But I know she can do so much better... 10. WOOYEON - I know, I know, she wasn't that good vocally, but... She had to perform Taeyeon's song in front of her, her nerves must have frayed!!! I stan. 11. JIHAN - what a cutie pie, and a stable performance as well :) 12. KEI - she would have been higher, I love her vocal tone, but the fact she did not sing live as much as some other vocalists...well... 13. JURI - my precious bb girl, she did so well ❤️❤️❤️ I am her fan since her AKB48 days and her voice tone, mhm ❤️ As for the other half.... I love a lot of the girlies, but I am just not willing to rank them, I know they can do so much better and I am looking forward to their future performances. My favorite 7vs7 performances: 1. PICK-CAT - SNAP 2. PICK on the top - Charismatic 3. Athena - SNAP 4. DROP The Beat - Charismatic My TOP 6 picks: 1. YEEUN (bias in CLC) 2. YUKI (bias in PURPLE KISS) 3. NANA (bias in woo!ah!) 4. YEOREUM (Top 3 in WJSN) 5. BORA (bias in Cherry Bullet) 6. JURI (bias in Rocket Punch, one of the biases in AKB48) My 7th pick: (these are interchangeable, gonna swap them every week) JooE (bias in MOMOLAND), Hwiseo (bias in H1-KEY), Zoa (bias-wrecker in Weeekly), Yeonhee (bias-wrecker in Rocket Punch)

My main takeaway from the first two eps is that I'm now completely obsessed with Nana, Wooyeon and Zoa - love these types of shows for this reason. I don't have a top 7 yet, but I really can't see this group without Hwiseo and Yeoreum (and hopefully Nana). For the 7v7, I preferred both charismatic performances (pick team at the top) because they felt more like teams to me. I thought there were some unreal individual performances in snap (once again...Hwiseo be killing me), but everyone shone for me in charismatic.

I really enjoyed this episode. Watching Jiwon and Bora's different approaches to team building was very interesting. Also it kind of seems overall like the all rounders tended to go more toward Charismatic and the specialists went more toward Snap, which definitely also affected their team building. I'm very proud of Yuki even with one small mistake. I would personally add at least three to every Rocket Punch member's score. Hwiseo absolutely ate and I'm so proud of her! I highly recommend checking out all of H1-Key's content. Their content is so wholesome and fun and you will fall in love with all of the members. They have done things like volunteer at a dog shelter, learn the sign language for their title track, make group friendship rings, read and react to nice comments on Rose Blossom, and they also were on Showterview with Sunmi.

I laughed when I saw your reaction when 28 Reasons played 'cause... same. lmao. I agree that there is a lot of factors that could affect the votes. The order does matter 'cause you're most likely to be compared to the performance before you. Iirc, the supposed premise was to vote depending on whether you think the performance is better/worse than yours. They could be totally objective, but it's also pretty logical to keep threats in check. Plus if I were in their place, I definitely would assume that there's some sort of benefit or advantage to being on top/the higher ranks in this sort of demo stage (other than making a great first impression) as this is a competition. That being said, I do think it's kinda sad that (if the way the scores were shown are to be believed) most of the downvotes come as soon as the performer makes the slightest of mistakes (then again it's the easiest point in the performances to excuse a downvote so it's understandable). Tbh, I don't think any of the performances deserved less than 5 upvotes, and the Rocket Punch ladies deserved more upvotes for sure. Didn't check everyone's profiles so don't quote me on this but it kinda feels like a lot of contestants with "main" positions in their group mostly went with Snap, while a lot of all-rounders went with Charismatic.

I'm so glad you said you're watching the full performances :D Mnet is mneting and rushed some of them, so the full cam is the only place to enjoy them (ex. Soeun's 28 Reasons is missing half of it in the broadcast) I'm so excited for the next episode. I've been so curious about how they worked on the signal songs for a month

I'm first going to say that I think I'm going to love Rocket Punch by the end of this show. Ok so this is a hard one for me to pick my top 7 or 10 after this episode. Bora, Nana and Jiwon still on in top from last episode. In no particular order. 1.Bora 2.Nana 3. Jiwon 4.Hwiseo 5.Yeonhee 6.Yeoreum 7.Sangah 8.Yeeun 9.Wooyeon 10. Jiwoo/ Seoyeon. Weeekly/ Yuki I did like but they could be mixed somewhere on my list.

Barring anything crazy happening, my top 6 picks will likely stay the same: Bora, Yeeun, Kei, Yeoreum, Jiwon and Nana. I have a feeling that Miru and Yeonhee will split time as my 7th member

I love how much we're all trying to find ways to justify RCPC's low scores so that we don't have to go "wtf ladies, y'all smokin?" Idk, watching the full performances like they're not flawless but Juri got done dirty, I'm not sorry. Yeonhee still slayed even with the shoe strap. Im far from arguing they should be at the top but them not getting a positive score just doesn't sit right with me. I'm glad that it's gotten people talking about them regardless tho lol ;) Also I love Miru so much. What a sweetheart, I need people to fall in love with her. It seemed like she was everyone's best friend on p48 and she's just so loveable.
