MOVING CAVES? (Patreon)

Hey guys!

So I wasn't gonna mention this until later down the line when things are more in motion but there's been a little bit of confusion for some so I thought I'd bring it up now to clear that up.

I briefly mentioned in a post a while ago (back when Dropbox was being a prime asshole) that I had a plan for something regarding this page but I didn't go into details then. Basically: we will eventually be moving to a new Patreon page.

This may seem like a bizarre move but it's something that I've given a great deal of thought and I really want to do for a variety of reasons:

• First, it allows me to fully embed and organise all past reactions to my personal satisfaction which I'm unable to do here
• Second, following on from the above it gives me that "fresh start" feeling without actually starting over from scratch (I can't explain why I'm so desperate for that feeling, I just am so this point may be a bit ??? to some of you but bear with me lmao)
• Third, and perhaps most controversially, it allows me to slightly adjust the prices of tiers much more easily than doing it here

With regards to the third point, I understand that some of you may not like it but I hope you can also understand why it's necessary. I believe many of us can agree that the cost of living in many places has increased pretty dramatically over the past couple years and usually (at least in my country) that increase is met with a slight increase in pay (not always obvs but in a lot of jobs). As I'm self employed and all my income comes through here, I have to make those adjustments myself and as this year is going on I've realised that it's very necessary for me to do.

Like I said, I hope you can understand that. They're not dramatic increases by any means just a little bit of a boost so I can both support myself and help out my mum who's now semi-retired and who I would very much like to not have to work any longer than absolutely necessary (her pension is ~okay but I wanna make sure I can give her extra support if needed you get me?).

Anywho, all that aside, here's some details on the new channel and what the plan is!

First things first, this is the channel that we will eventually be moving to: https://www.patreon.com/TheSafeCave

It is live because that's the most effective way for me to get things done atm BUT I of course do not expect anyone to sign up to it until we officially make the move.

For the time being, I'm still in the process of reposting all the old content and getting things ready. That process is gonna take a few more months *at least* so we've got a ways to go yet before the move.

You may notice as well that the requests slots are limited to 1 right now (the minimum I can list) as I don't want people sneaking in before I can give current requesters a fair chance to get their place back.

Now, like I said, it's gonna take me a bit to get it all sorted but once we're closer to the moving date, I'll of course update you all here and we can start migrating everyone over. Once that move starts, I will no longer post new content here and it'll all go over there. There will be a deadline date (probably a few weeks after) for moving and after that point, everything on this page will be deleted and this account closed.

I'll give you all more details on that closer to the time but for now just now that it's something that's happening and to keep an eye out for in the future.

So, I hope that clears things up for anyone confused about why they're stumbling across another account with my content on it lmao.

p.s. in terms of content: everything on the new page is being posted in the same order and tagged with the month/year that it was posted here. I'm also working on a new masterlist document so everything will be perfectly organised and easy to navigate :)
