Aespa MY

is aespa road synk coming this weekend?

JJ

skz have been one of my ult groups for years now but I agree, THIS ALBUM! I totally understand why the boys themselves were/are so confident in this album in particular, they have every right to be also I highly recommend their intro - I always really enjoy these to get an insight into their process and thoughts behind their albums, but they switched up the format a little bit this time round and I personally find it even more interesting here is the link in case you wanna check it out (even if it is in your own time) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iNPgj-ZJql8

oh and also, I absolutely refuse to give a top track from this album, it has literally changed every few hours since it dropped lol

Haha it’s me, a Stray Kids ult who’s slowly been losing my hyperfixation on them the past couple of months - here I was thinking I wasn’t super into Stray Kids anymore…and they really said “here’s some of the best shit you’ve heard, deal with it” like HELLO??? I totally agree with the quality level of this album - I was expecting to be good, but not THIS good! (also I would totally be interested in your album star ranking idea) I want the instrumental to Topline injected FULLY into my bloodstream also Tiger JK is a Korean rapper who I believe is one of the OGs of k-hip hop…people call him the godfather of South Korean hip hop, apparently? People were losing their SHIT when his feature was announced, it was a really big deal! 3RACHA did an intro performance with him for the opening of MAMA 2022 after referencing him in their song “Heyday”...it was VERY cool interesting that Topline was the one song that didn’t immediately hit hard! For me that song is my SHIT, that brassy instrumental is just SO GOOD, and it’s such a “talk your shit” type song, I love it sm The end part of Get Lit lives in my head rent free, how it crescendos into the final instrumental part…UGH I LOVE IT I think my faves are Topline, S-Class, Item, and FNF - also so glad you love FNF, give me a song that sounds like that and I’m immediately in love, but I feel like sometimes that kind of sound gets a bit overlooked (especially in a skz album, lol!) About FNF: “We (Bang Chan and Felix) wrote this song about the feelings of sadness, regret, and longing that we felt when we saw so many animals and plants lose their lives during the big bushfires in our home country, Australia, a few years ago, and compared it to the feeling of losing someone you care about” The lyrics have a bunch of references to burning and ashes…almost made me tear up reading them, fires are no joke Youtiful is a bit cheesy, but y’know what, it’s a good thing I love cheese! Side note: the official lyrics on Genius for Super Bowl quote Han as saying “our dish here’s so bussin’” but nope I refuse to believe it - if Xdinary Heroes can have a hidden “fuck you” in their song, Han can say “oh this shit’s so bussin’” LMAO But UGH I LOVE THIS ALBUM SO MUCH, if they keep getting exponentially better like this, I’m incredibly excited for whatever comes next for them in the future. Truly, skz just makes amazing music.

FNF is truly for the festivals, I can't help but fist pump during the chorus lol Super Bowl literally attacked me and I was surprised it was all in English! I usually don't like all English songs, but this was a banger! Also, the chanting part really reminded me of an NCT song. Another standout for me would be Hall of Fame. This was such a fun album listen! I am obsessed with this comeback, however, this still isn't my absolute favourite album of theirs. I would also love to know what goes on in their minds when making music, it's so incredibly unique!

I have yet to meet a skz album that I didn’t love, so obvs I loved this album, but I think just because of where my preferences lie, they still haven’t beaten NOEASY for me. Levanter gets special status as a comfort album but NOEASY was just so exactly up my alley

When reacting to an album, there is also a lyric video, so I want you to react together.

safe_cave

Hey bud, I used to react with lyric videos but I don't anymore for a couple reasons: 1. It's hard to find lyric videos with correct translations and people complain about it 2. I prefer to focus on the music and production. I look up lyrics to songs I like later on

Wendy Horner

Loved watching your reaction to each song. Even though I’ve already listened to it several times, you point out details in the instrumental that I hadn’t noticed yet. Plus, I love seeing the joy and surprise that you show with each song. Absolutely agree this is their best album, and every time I listen to it, it grabs on tighter!

DEFINITELY my most favorite SKZ album! I'm so happy and so proud of them! They really went above and beyond and now I'm excited to know how they're gonna top this on the next cb. ❤️ I'd suggest to watch their INTRO to 5 - STAR video on YT to get more insights on the making of the album. It's really really exciting knowing this is a self-produced album! Like, whut?!
